It seems like the ‘blast form the past’ for Jr NTR; the actor is very
keen to remake his grandfather’s film Paathala Bhairavi with Gunashekar.
The latest news is that Young Tiger has had serious talks with Gunashekar to remake the folklore drama with obviously a few changes to suit the current times. And in fact Jr. NTR and the director had a few sittings discussing the details however the project could not take off because the budget to make the film was shooting over Rs 40 crores.
Gunashekar is currently busy shooting the period drama Rudramadevi starring Anushka Shetty in the lead and Young Tiger is working in Rabhasa. And hopefully when the two wrap up their current films they will have time to re-think of making the 50’s hit Paathala Bhairavi.
Considering the energetic and talented actor Jr NTR and an equally talented Gunashekar might make a wonderful remake but we wonder if the present generation audience will accept such a film. You never know, after all it depends on the conviction of the story presentation and if films such as Arundathi became a blockbuster then why not Paathala Bhairavi?
